Visbrunn Privacy

This page explains what Visbrunn stores, what it does not store, and how privacy is handled for anonymous visitors and signed-in users.

Privacy, account data, and saved routes

Visbrunn does not store, sell, or disclose personal data about anonymous visitors who simply open and browse the public pages. Anonymous page visits are not used to build user profiles in Visbrunn.

Visbrunn uses cookies only where they are technically necessary to show pages correctly, keep the application working, maintain security, and support normal sign-in behavior. These cookies are not used by Visbrunn for advertising or cross-site tracking.

For signed-in users, Visbrunn stores only the information needed to operate the account and the features the user chooses to use. This includes the username, password verification data required for secure authentication, AI quota usage, and route or trip data the user explicitly chooses to save on Visbrunn's servers.

Saved route and trip data may include coordinates, route names, waypoint details, labels, notes, calculations, map drawings, and other planning information entered by the user. Visbrunn does not share this stored route or trip data with other parties unless the user chooses a feature that explicitly requires sharing or processing of that data.

AI-related usage is limited to features the user actively starts. Visbrunn records quota consumption so usage can be controlled and accounted for. Any expedition, route, weather, or planning content processed by AI features is tied to the user's deliberate use of those features.

Users should avoid storing sensitive personal information in route names, waypoint notes, labels, or trip comments unless it is truly necessary for their own planning. Visbrunn is designed for field planning, navigation support, calculations, and expedition-related analysis, not as a general repository for private personal records.
